Who can give hope to a hurting teen and family? All of us. Parents, counselors, churches, and businesses can form a community of HOPE. Our teen’s risky behaviors affect families and communities everywhere. Working together, we strive to restore the hurting teen back to the family. Providing hope and a future for the hurting teen and the family is what Illinois House of Hope is all about.

Many of today’s teens face issues of substance abuse, crime involvement, mental illness, teen pregnancy, abortion, violence, truancy, gang activity and suicide to name a few. Unacceptable and anti-social behaviors of troubled teens impact all of us.

Negative effects of substance abuse, teen pregnancy, violence and legal issues for example, have a tremendous effect on families and the community. An increase in crime, along with a decrease in the education of a teen, burdens the community as a whole. We as a society must come together, share resources and reach out to help the troubled teen and family.

And there is HOPE.

(Some of the ministry team in 2006 with
National founder Sara Trollinger.)Please continue to support our fundraising efforts to serve our teens and families . There is over 550,000 youth age 13 to 17 living in our service area, not including our Indiana neighbors. We are able to serve families that are able to commit to weekly counseling sessions, parenting classes, and weekly visits with their teen. Youth from the Counties of Will, Grundy, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kankakee , Kendall are all within driving distance from our planned facility in Northern Illinois .

The Illinois House of Hope is one of over seventy homes associated with the National House of Hope of Orlando, Florida. We will strive to maintain the high rate of success that House of Hope Orlando has established over the past 20 years. We are not government funded and we rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, churches and organizations in our community. Please support Illinois House of Hope and help us make this vision a reality.
